Application

The EngyCal RS33 is designed for recording steam mass and energy flow for both saturated and superheated steam. It utilizes the IAPWS IF97 standard to accurately calculate the mass and energy flow based on measured process variables: volume flow, temperature, and pressure. The calculator computes the density and enthalpy of steam from the input variables.

Typical Applications Include:

  • Food Industry
  • Chemical Industry
  • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Power Plants
  • Building Systems and Plant Engineering

Benefits

  • Accurate Energy Measurement:
Monitors and bills energy quantities in steam applications, including steam heat quantity and heat differential.
  • Wide Application Range:
Suitable for various industries such as food & beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, and power generation.
  • Comprehensive Calculations:
Calculates energy, volume, density, enthalpy, and differential pressure flow (DP-Flow).
  • Flexible Operation:
Can be operated via 3 buttons on-site or remotely through FieldCare software.
  • Data Logging and Visualization:
Historical data can be read out via Field Data Manager Software, which supports SQL databases and visualization interfaces.
  • Custom Tariffs:
Optional features include managing multiple tariffs (tariff 1 and tariff 2) or separately tracking heating, cooling, and balance energy.

Measuring Principle

The EngyCal RS33 functions as an Energy Manager, focused on monitoring and billing energy in saturated and superheated steam applications, utilizing the IAPWS-IF97 calculation standards for precise energy flow measurements.
